Erin & Adam Intimate Three Valley Gap Elopement
How many times have you driven by Three Valley Gap?
These two stopped in one day, and said to themselves "This place is so fucking weird. We have to get married here." and they're right. And they did.
There's a Titanic themed pool area. A ghost town compiled of buildings from all around western Canada. The honour system still exists here. It's the most wonderful and weird and relaxed place, and they really nailed it when they chose to elope here.
Erin and Adam got a hold of me when their 10 year anniversary was coming up, and they decided they wanted to celebrate by tying the knot - just the two of them.
They had me stay on site, and I loved every minute of it. There's no cell service, no tv channels, and slow wifi. Truly a chance to rest & relax. The morning of their elopement, Erin and I ran into each other at the beach. We chatted for a bit before I left her to read her book, and I went for a morning kayak. We agreed on a time to meet back up again, and I headed up to their room.
Erin & Adam got ready together. They helped each other with their outfits, put on final touches, and the three of us ventured through the ghost town to take some portraits before the JP arrived.
After a short and sweet ceremony, these two were finally married! We wandered around the grounds of the hotel for a little while longer before catching the smokey sunset on the beach and calling it a day. Newlyweds went into Revelstoke for dinner, and I stayed at the hotel for another night.
This elopement highlighted so many of my favourite things about elopements. Erin and Adam were able to spend the day exactly as they wanted to. They didn't have any timelines to follow, no rushing, only quality time together. A day they'll remember for the rest of their lives. I'm so thankful to have been able to play a small part in it.
Erin & Adam, thank you thank you thank you.
